（Macdonell, ArthurAnthony; 1854～1931）英國梵文學者。嘗任牛津大學教授（1899～1927），復於加爾各答 Stephanos Nirmalendu Ghosh 學院，講述比較宗教學（1922）。主要著作有 SanskritGrammar for Students, 1886;Sanskrit English Dictionary,1892; Vedic Mythology, 1897; AHistory of Sanskrit Literature ,1900; Vedic Grammar, 1910; A Vedic Grammar for Students,1917; Indias/ Past, 1927 ; Ka^tya^yanas/ Sarva^nukraman!i^ of the Rigveda; Vedic Index of Names and Subjects , 2 vois.
