(1)Leave alone is acceptable as a substitute for let alone in the sense 「to refrain from disturbing or interfering.」 The following examples were approved by a majority of the Usage Panel in an earlier survey:

Leave him alone and he will produce.

(2)Those who do not accept these examples generally feel that leave alone should mean simply 「to depart from one who remains in solitude」:
